Protege Flat Brush Set of 2 contains a 1/2" and 3/4", short handle brushes.

This type of brush can be used for shading and split cakes. The bristles are made of gold nylon and the handles are painted green wood with a nickle plated brass ferrule.

The bristle length (top to bottom) of each brush are:
1/2" brush is 3/8" and the 3/4" brush is 9/16".
The length of each brush, including the bristles are: 1/2" brush is 7 1/2" and the 3/4" brush is 7 7/8".

Directions: Clean the brushes as follows: Watercolor and water based face paint use mild soap and water. Always reshape your bristles with your fingers, when dry store in an upright or horizontal position to prevent damage of bristles. (For crafters:Oil paint use odorless thinner or mineral spirits and follow up with a mild soap, acrylic paint use water and mild soap.) Made in China.

I like that they are shorter but still the same width as other brands.  Makes one stroke designs easier for me.  And you can't beat the price!

What I love most about these is the short bristles. That means quicker to load, less paint rinsed away (wasted), and better control. Love these!
