Description Ingredients List
Great for roses and leaves painted with flat brushes.

TIPS for using 50 Gr Rainbow Cakes:
  • The large 50 gram cakes can be used in their entirety if you load all of the colors up on half of a circle sponge.
  • You can load the flat side of the sponge, or the rounded side.
  • If you load on the rounded side you have more control over how much of the rainbow you want to press against the skin as you work around the face. You simply rock the sponge and pat as you move around the face.
  • If you use the flat side of the sponge you will get the whole rainbow on the face, unless you pull up one of the edges of the sponge…which can lead to messy hands.
  • You can also use your round, flat or filbert brushes to load two or more colors from the cake, depending on the width of the brush you choose.
  • You could use half of the cake for a gradient background, and the remaining colors to put flowers, hearts etc. on top with a brush, and everything will match.
  • Try loading two to three colors and sponging those coming out in staggered stripes from around the eye, and then filing in the space with the other 2-3 colors flipped, so that you have actually changed the order of the colors for variety sake.
  • Have fun! Play with your cakes and try new things to keep you happily painting!

I'm still working on getting the one strokes down with Prisma. It blends almost too well. I find it perfect for bases though.

Flowerific! September 15, 2016

This split cake is great for doing petals, only using the light/dark pink and white, then leaves using the shades of green. Or you can use the shades of green on a brush to make a snake or dragon. It's a great size and combination of colors.

Loving prisma July 30, 2014

I am amazed at how beautiful my roses are coming out using this prisma cake, even for a beginner like me. The colors are perfect together.  You have the flower and leaf colors all in one cake.

Great pigment, seems gigantic December 13, 2013

colors are excellent for roses and creatures. Be aware if you do not like scents that it does have a coconut smell. But I actually really like the smell as it is gender neutral and not too strong. Color payoff is great, and in a sturdy  package. Feels much heavier than 50 gm (maybe very dense) in which case a great value.

Jest Paint Response: Thanks for your review. I just wanted to point out that the Prisma packaging is a lot heavier than the other 50 gram cakes out there on the market. There is a plastic outer container and a metal tray that holds the cake, and then between the two there is a heavy rectangle peice of material that they added to raise the cake in the container. I think this accounts for the extra heavy feeling of the cakes.  :) Anna
