What is this face painting palette best for?
This Spectrum Palette by Fusion Body Art is a great way to try out the Fusion Body Art line of face painting split cakes. This face painting palette contains cakes that are good for a wide variety of designs for boys and girls and makes a great face painting walk around kit, sampler palette or gift. I love this kit because it truly has a great range of split cakes and a black and white all in one palette! It is great as a travel kit, as a walk around kit, a fundraising kit, a gift for a new face painter or for your regular gigs for those who like to keep a small condensed kit. Read about each cake under the Split Cakes section. Each cake is shorter, shallower and slightly wider than the original Split Cakes.

How to apply and remove the face paint in this Fusion Body Art Rainbow Explosion Spectrum Palette?
Water is the magic tool to activate Fusion Body Art Face paints. We recommend that face painters or parents apply water to their face painting brush or sponge and then load the makeup onto their tool, rather than spraying the face paints with a misting bottle. Spraying might lead to an over absorption of water into your face paint cake, which means soft, sticky paint that is harder to use. Load a moist sponge or a flat or angular brush (1" to 3/4" if you want to pick up all of the colors) by sweeping from side to side across the Split Cake using a small amount of water to moisten your paint until you have created a smooth light creamy paste, wipe any excess paint off of your sponge or brush on the edge of the container and apply to the skin. Choose a sponge or brush size based on how many colors you want to pick up. Hold the cake vertically so that any dripping paint will run down the color of the stripe, and not across the whole rainbow. Put just the tiny tip of your brush back in your water cup if you need to add more water. You want the paint to be fully loaded, appearing wet and shiny, but not drippy. Make sure that your brush is lined up with the correct colors when you reload. Rinse and repeat if colors start to get too mixed. Do you really want to wash this off? You can easily remove Fusion Body Art face paints with soap and water; simply lather your face with soap using a soft sponge or wash cloth, rub the makeup gently until it looks like all of it has been loosened from the skin and then rinse with water; repeat as needed. Make sure to always use soap first since using water first will remove the oils from your skin that help prevent staining while leaving most of the makeup still on. If any faint stains are left after washing the skin off, you can use lotion, makeup remover, night crème or baby oil to moisten your face and clean any remaining makeup residue. Regular sweating and oil production as well as friction with sheets and pillows at bed time will take care of any leftover faint stains that might be left after cleaning your skin as directed. Most pearl face paints are really easy to remove though because they use softer pigments. .

How to store Fusion Body Art face painting products?
All Fusion Body Art cakes should be stored in a dry and cool place away from a direct source of light. This means, don't store your face paints in a damp basement, a hot or frigid car, or anywhere that might lead to a face paint meltdown or stone cold cake. Even while you are working, make sure to keep you paints out of direct sunlight or humid locations. Face painters should let their makeup air dry by leaving the lids off between uses until dry, or store the makeup in a case that allows you to transport your cakes without having to lid them. Do not store your makeup in a refrigerator since it can get contaminated with food allergens and odors. When cleaning the surface of your paints, avoid using any fuzzy cloths or chemical products; a clean damp face painting sponge is all you need to wipe the surface clean. Applying other chemicals like makeup sanitizers, baby wipes that contain perfumes, etc. can alter the chemical composition of your paints and stuff like towel and wet-wipe fuzz might get embedded in your paints. We do not recommend speed drying your paints by putting them into a microwave, which could destroy them. Instead consider using a food dehydrator, or setting your cakes near a space heater or over a bed of rice (without the makeup touching the rice), so that the extra moisture can evaporate or be absorbed. Feel free to visit our Jest Paint blog for more detailed instructions on how to face paint and what kind of products to use for each occasion. Remember, pearl face paints are softer than prime matte colors, so even when brand new, the consistency won't be the same as with your regular colors. .

What else should I know about Fusion Body Art face paints?
All Fusion Body Art Prime and Pearl colors are made with US FDA and EU compliant high-quality ingredients and are hypoallergenic. They contain no perfume, parabens or lanolin to reduce the risk of allergic reactions. Fusion Body Art face paints are vegan and they are not tested on animals. Fusion Body Art paints are manufactured in China under the direction and strict supervision of the Fusion Body Art team in Australia, using a formula designed by Fusion Body Art with ingredients sourced and provided by Fusion Body Art. All pigments for Prime colors are made in the USA, as well as all FD&C and D&C pigments used on the Pearl range, which guarantees the use of only the safest and highest quality pigments in the production of Fusion Body Art face paints. The paraffin wax used on Fusion's Paraffin White and Pearls is one of the finest Japanese waxes available in the market for cosmetic use. Fusion Body Art makeup products are great for your cosplay characters, Halloween costume parties, carnivals, fundraisers and more. Like all face paint brands, due to changes in environmental temperature and moisture levels, the paint can expand and contract inside the container creating cracks on the surface of the cake, and possibly cause the cake to shrink a bit in its container. This does not affect the performance of the product and cracks will seal by themselves once you start using it. Depending on the specific binders and pigments used and the environmental conditions, the consistency of the product can vary from hard and dry to soft and clay like. Either way, you will still be able to paint perfectly with your cakes. .

Add water to your brush before you apply it to the skin. Wash with soap and water, some colours may stain skin temporarily. Keep lids closed when not in use.
